भूत प्रेत पिशाच तुम्हारे, देखत ही सब दूर सिधारे।

• भूत, प्रेत और पिशाच आपके (प्रभाव) को देखते ही सभी दूर चले जाते हैं।
• Ghosts, spirits, and ghouls, upon seeing you, all depart far away.
• Ghosts (bhoot), spirits (pret), ghouls (pishach) upon seeing your (tumhare) presence, all (sab) go far away (door sidhare).

चौरासी सिद्धों के स्वामी, तुम हो शिव के अन्तर्यामी॥

• आप चौरासी सिद्धों के स्वामी हैं, आप शिव के अंतर्यामी (अंश) हैं।
• You are the Lord of the eighty-four Siddhas (accomplished ones), you are the inner self (aspect) of Shiva.

काशी के तुम हो रखवाले, भैरवी संग तुम सुख पाले।

गंगा घाट पर तेरा डेरा, जहां लगे नित भक्तों का फेरा॥

• गंगा घाट पर आपका वास है, जहाँ भक्तों का नित्य आवागमन रहता है।
• Your abode is on the banks of Ganga, where devotees regularly visit.
• On Ganga Ghat (ganga ghat par) your (tera) abode (dera) is, where devotees (bhakton ka) regularly visit (nit phera lage).

तुम हो शिव के अंश कहाते, काशी में नित गुण गाते।

• आप शिव के अंश कहे जाते हैं, काशी में नित्य आपके गुण गाए जाते हैं।
• You are called an aspect of Shiva, in Kashi your praises are sung daily.
• You (tum ho) are called (kahate) Shiva’s aspect (shiv ke ansh), in Kashi (kashi mein) daily (nit) your praises (gun) are sung (gate).

दंडपाणि तुम हो जग विख्याता, धर्मराज तुम हो सुख दाता॥

• हे दंडपाणि! आप जगत में विख्यात हैं, हे धर्मराज! आप सुख प्रदान करने वाले हैं।
• O Dandapani (wielder of the staff)! You are renowned in the world, O Dharmaraja! You are the giver of happiness.
• Hey Dandapani (dandapani)! You (tum ho) are world-renowned (jag vikhyata), Hey Dharmaraja (dharmaraj)! You (tum ho) are happiness-giver (sukh data).

तुम हो काल के भी काला, काल चक्र के तुम ही जाला।

• आप काल के भी काल हैं, कालचक्र को आप ही नियंत्रित करते हैं।
• You are the controller of time itself, you are the net (controller) of the cycle of time.
• You (tum ho) are the controller of time (kaal ke bhi kala), you (tum hi) are the net (jala) of the cycle of time (kaal chakra ke).

जो कोई तुमको सुमिरन करते, भव सागर से पार उतरते॥

• जो कोई आपका स्मरण करते हैं। वे संसार रूपी सागर से पार उतर जाते हैं।
• Whoever remembers you. They cross the ocean of worldly existence.
• Whoever (jo koi) tumko remembers (sumiran karte). They (ve) cross (par utarte) the ocean of worldly existence (bhav sagar se).

रोग दोष सब दूर भगाओ, दारिद्रय दुख तुम दूर हटाओ।

• सभी रोगों और दोषों को दूर भगाइए, दरिद्रता और दुख को आप दूर कीजिए।
• Drive away all diseases and faults, you remove poverty and sorrow.
• All diseases (rog dosh) drive away (door bhagao), poverty (daridraya) and sorrow (dukh) you (tum) remove (door hatao).

विद्या बुद्धि सब तुम देती, ज्ञान ध्यान सब तुम लेती॥

• आप ही विद्या और बुद्धि सभी प्रदान करती हैं। आप ही ज्ञान और ध्यान सभी को धारण करती हैं।
• You alone grant all learning and intellect. You embody all knowledge and meditation.
• Learning (vidya) and intellect (buddhi) sab (all) you (tum) give (deti). Knowledge (gyan) and meditation (dhyan) sab (all) you (tum) hold (leti).

पुत्रहीन को पुत्र देती, निर्धन को धनवान करती।

• पुत्रहीन को आप पुत्र प्रदान करती हैं। निर्धन को धनवान बनाती हैं।
• You grant sons to the childless. You make the poor wealthy.
• Childless (putrahin) ko sons (putra) you give (deti). Poor (nirdhan) ko wealthy (dhanwan) you make (karti).

जो जन तुमको ध्यान लगावे। भव बंधन से मुक्ति पावे॥

• जो मनुष्य आपका ध्यान लगाता है। वह संसार के बंधनों से मुक्ति पाता है।
• The person who meditates upon you. He attains liberation from worldly bonds.
• Jo person (jan) tumko meditates (dhyan lagave). He (wah) worldly bonds (bhav bandhan) se liberation (mukti) attains (pave).

जो यह चालीसा पाठ करावे। वह सब दुःख दारिद्र्य मिटावे॥

• जो इस चालीसा का पाठ करवाता है (या करता है)। वह सभी दुःख और दरिद्रता को मिटा देता है।
• Whoever recites (or causes to be recited) this Chalisa. He eradicates all sorrows and poverty.
• Whoever (jo yeh) Chalisa recites (path karave). He (wah) all sorrows (dukh) and poverty (daridrya) eradicates (mitave).

संकट मोचन दुःख हर देवा। करते हैं सब तुम्हारी सेवा॥

• आप संकटों को दूर करने वाले, दुखों को हरने वाले देव हैं। सभी आपकी सेवा करते हैं।
• You are the remover of troubles, the divine dispeller of sorrows. Everyone serves you.
• You are troubles (sankat) remover (mochan), sorrows (dukh) dispeller (har) Deva. Sab (everyone) tumhari service (seva) karte hain.

सत्य धर्म तुम हो जग रक्षक। दुष्टों के तुम हो भक्षक।

• आप सत्य और धर्म हैं, जगत के रक्षक हैं। आप दुष्टों के भक्षक (नाश करने वाले) हैं।
• You are truth and righteousness, the protector of the world. You are the devourer (destroyer) of the wicked.
• You are truth (satya) and righteousness (dharm), world’s (jag) protector (rakshak). Wicked (dushton) ke (tum ho) destroyer (bhakshak) ho.

जो कोई तुमको मन से माने। उसके कष्ट कभी न जाने॥

• जो कोई आपको सच्चे मन से मानता है। उसके कष्ट कभी नहीं आते।
• Whoever truly believes in you with a sincere heart. No suffering ever comes upon him.
• Whoever (jo koi) tumko true heart (man) se believes (mane). Uske sufferings (kasht) never (kabhi na) come (jane).

वेद शास्त्र सब तुम गुण गावें। तुम्हारी महिमा पार न पावें॥

• वेद और शास्त्र सभी आपके गुणों का गान करते हैं। आपकी महिमा का पार नहीं पा सकते।
• All Vedas and scriptures sing your praises. They cannot fathom the extent of your glory.
• Vedas (ved) and scriptures (shastra) sab (all) your virtues (gun) sing (gaven). Tumhari glory (mahima) cannot be fathomed (par na paven).

नारद शारद ब्रह्मा देवा। करते हैं सब तुम्हारी सेवा॥

• नारद, शारदा (सरस्वती), और ब्रह्मा जैसे देव। सभी आपकी सेवा करते हैं।
• Sages like Narada, Sharada (Saraswati), and Lord Brahma. All serve you.
• Narad, Sharad, Brahma Dev. Sab (all) tumhari service (seva) karte hain.

ब्रह्मा शिव भी तुमको ध्यावें। तेरी कृपा से सुख पावें॥

• ब्रह्मा और शिव भी आपका ध्यान करते हैं। आपकी कृपा से सुख प्राप्त करते हैं।
• Even Brahma and Shiva meditate upon you. By your grace, they attain happiness.
• Brahma and Shiva (bhi) tumko meditate (dhyaven). Your grace (teri kripa) se happiness (sukh) attain (paven).

आदि अन्त मध्य तुम स्वामी। सकल विश्व के तुम अंतर्यामी॥

• आप आदि, अंत और मध्य में स्वामी हैं। आप समस्त विश्व के अंतर्यामी (भीतर रहने वाले) हैं।
• You are the Lord of the beginning, end, and middle. You are the inner dweller of the entire universe.
• Aap beginning (adi), end (ant), middle (madhya) Lord (swami) ho. Entire universe (sakal vishva) ke inner dweller (antaryami) ho.

जो नर चालीसा यह गावे। जीवन में सब सुख पावे॥

• जो मनुष्य यह चालीसा गाता है। वह जीवन में सभी सुख प्राप्त करता है।
• The person who sings this Chalisa. He attains all happiness in life.
• Jo man (nar) yeh Chalisa sings (gave). He (wah) life (jivan) mein all happiness (sab sukh) attains (pave).

भक्ति भाव से जो नित पढ़े। उसके जीवन में सुख नित बढ़े॥

• जो भक्ति भाव से इसे नित्य पढ़ता है। उसके जीवन में सुख नित्य बढ़ता है।
• Whoever reads this daily with devotion. Happiness continuously increases in his life.
• Jo devotion (bhakti bhav) se daily (nit) reads (padhe). Uske life (jivan) mein happiness (sukh) daily (nit) increases (badhe).

भैरव चालीसा जो नित गाये। जन्म जन्म के दुःख मिटाये॥

• जो भैरव चालीसा का नित्य गान करता है। उसके जन्म-जन्म के दुःख मिट जाते हैं।
• Whoever daily sings the Bhairav Chalisa. The sorrows of his many births are eradicated.
• Jo Bhairav Chalisa daily (nit) sings (gaye). Birth (janm) after birth (janm) ke sorrows (dukh) are eradicated (mitaye).

दास ‘माधुरी’ यह मन लावे। भैरव देव के दर्शन पावे॥

• दास ‘माधुरी’ यह मन लगाकर करता है। ताकि भैरव देव के दर्शन प्राप्त हों।
• The servant ‘Madhuri’ does this with concentration. So that the sight of Lord Bhairav may be attained.
• Servant (das) ‘Madhuri’ yeh with concentration (man lave) karta hai. So that (taki) Bhairav Dev ke darshan (sight) attained (pave) ho.

हरि हर शंकर जय जय देवा। लक्ष्मी नारायण करें सेवा॥

• हरि (विष्णु), हर (शिव), शंकर (शिव) की जय हो, जय हो हे देव! लक्ष्मी और नारायण (विष्णु) सेवा करते हैं।

दोहा (Doha) – Concluding Verse

बटुक भैरव नित ध्यान धर, मनवांछित फल पाय।

• बटुक भैरव का नित्य ध्यान धरने से, मनवांछित फल प्राप्त होते हैं।
• By regularly meditating on Batuk Bhairav, one attains desired fruits.
• By regularly meditating (nit dhyan dhar) on Batuk Bhairav, desired fruits (manwanchhit phal) are attained (pay).

अष्ट सिद्धि नव निधि मिले, संकट सब मिट जाय॥

• अष्ट सिद्धियाँ और नव निधियाँ प्राप्त होती हैं, सभी संकट मिट जाते हैं।
• One obtains the eight siddhis and nine nidhis, and all troubles are eradicated.
